“Barbara Speer has been teaching my daughter how to play the piano for 3 years. She is now 7 years old. We absolutely love her. She teaches the fundamentals of the piano and not just how to play a song. She is patient with her and will make sure she understands the current lesson before she moves on to the next lesson. She encourages her to do her best, but also understands that she has off days.
I love that Barbara doesn’t just follow the lesson books to get “it done”. She will change up the lesson books, add in games, coloring or whatever it takes to keep her excited about learning and playing the piano. My daughter now loves to show off her talent.

“Barbara was teaching 3 of my children, ages 13, 11, and 9, over a period of 3 months. During this period, Barbara taught my children not just the technical aspects of playing piano but also how to read and phrase a piece of musical composition. This improved all of my children’s appreciation for new pieces of music they encounter and play it more like how the composer had intended.
